WHEN TO COME AND WHAT TO BRING
Shergarh opens November May
| November | Kanha at its most green, lush and
dense. Pleasant temperatures but cool mornings. Bring layers. |
| December - January | Spectacular morning mists. Very chilly
mornings. Bring many layers including hats, scarves, gloves and thermals. |
| February - March | Kanha in blossom and changing colours. Cool mornings, but afternoons can get hot. Bring layers. |
| April - May | Dry forest provides easier sightings. Hot days and warm evenings. Bring sunscreen, caps and cool scarves. |
| Due to daily fluctuations in
temperatures and climate we suggest you bring sun protection and waterproofs. We also advise you to bring: - Binoculars and camera film; - Natural coloured clothing for game drives and bird watching; - Personal medicines.
|
| Mosquitos and Malaria
- While we have made every effort to reduce mosquitos at Shergarh, you will be travelling
through the area where malaria prevails. Bring repellents, and if you are coming from
abroad - take anti-malarials.
